Accessibility Arrangements – Medical Care Medical Center

At Medical Care we make every effort and invest considerable resources to provide all our clients with professional, equal, respectful and accessible service. In accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the regulations enacted under it, we invest resources and considerable effort in making the accessibility adjustments required to ensure that a person with a disability receives the services provided to all clients equally and independently.

Building Accessibility Arrangements

These are the accessibility arrangements at the reception center located at our address, 13 Abba Berdichev St., Bat Yam:

• Several disabled parking spaces near the entrance to the medical center
• Continuous accessible route from the parking lot through the entrance to the reception center and up to the service point (including elevators)
• Accessible service counters at the reception center
• Accessible restrooms in the building lobby and on the various floors
• Identification and directional signage
• An accessible reception entrance with a service experience designed to assist people with disabilities
• When needed, service representatives at the various counters will be happy to help with filling in forms and other registration procedures

Accessible Customer Service

Medical Care regularly holds staff training on accessible service, to familiarize staff with accessibility, raise awareness and provide practical tools for delivering accessible service.

Medical Care has an accessible call center: the voice response system has been made accessible so that information is delivered in clear language without background music.

Website Accessibility

An accessible website allows people with disabilities and older people to browse it with the same efficiency and enjoyment as users without disabilities. According to a 2003 study by Microsoft, about 20 to 25 percent of the population encounter difficulties using the internet and could benefit from more accessible web content.
The Medical Care medical and rehabilitation center works for equal opportunity online for people with a range of disabilities and people who use assistive technology to operate a computer.

Website accessibility information:

• This website meets the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.
• The accessibility adjustments were made according to the recommendations of Israeli Standard IS 5568 for web content accessibility at level AA and the international WCAG 2.0 document.
• Testing was carried out for maximum compatibility with the Firefox browser.
• The website provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and supports the standard keyboard usage pattern with the arrow keys, Enter, and Esc to exit menus and windows.
• The website is adapted for display in common browsers and is responsive for mobile phone use.
