Patients in the department of complex nursing suffer long-term diseases and need permanent nursing and medical care. For example, severe wounds, respiratory failures, oxygen aid, tracheostomy, oncologic conditions, dialysis, chronic bed confinements, and more.
The main responsibility of our medical team in this department is to help patients carry out their integrative medical treatment plans.
We also put a lot of effort into providing necessary emotional support to family members and caregivers who need to adjust to a new situation in which their formerly independent relative is now ill and dependent on them.
Our department’s staff is comprised of a multidisciplinary team, in which everyone works together in close collaboration. The team includes:
- Doctors and nurses specializing in complex disabilities
- Specialists in para-medical fields such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, communication, nutrition and rehabilitative psychology.
In this department, as well as in all others, we make it our priority to include family members and caregivers in the circle of therapy. Family members experience excruciating stress upon their relative’s onset of needing complex nursing. In order for them to be able to provide the best care to their loved ones, they receive here, in our departments, supporting emotional care that raises their inner emotional and mental resilience, as well as their capacity to deal with the situation without falling apart.
We offer specialized programs for families so that they can be empowered and strengthened in light of the difficult situation that they have encountered. Our programs help them maintain their emotional regulation, in a way that allows them to continue to support their loved ones for the long run. These programs include various workshops, which train participants with emotional tools that enable them to reprocess the difficult experience, own it, regain control over their emotions, and cope in a positive way. A wide variety of personal treatments is also available and could be tailored to meet specific needs.
Visiting hours between 10:00-13:00 and 16:00-20:00.
